Fracking? Not in Our back yard!

I am a person who has been involved with matters of a chemical nature for over 40 years now.
I have a BSc and PhD in chemistry. I was elected as a Chartered Chemist and a Chartered Engineer and I am an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. I worked on both nuclear power stations and nuclear missiles, so I know something about risks and hazards. I am totally opposed to fracking.

When someone tells you that they do a lot of fracking in the USA, point out to them that they used to detonated Nuclear Bombs in the USA, in the deserts of New Mexico and Nevada. In contrast, we never exploded nuclear bombs in the UK, where the geography is just a little different.

Do they still do explode nuclear devices in their deserts? Hell no, even the Americans stopped that dumb game, but not before it did some damage.

So will the Americans continue fracking? Who cares – it should be of NO relevance to us.
